How to stop the PS2 lid sensor from Sensing the top
Hello, I'm new making custom portables and um I want to know how to stop the PS2 lid sensor stop dececting that the lid is opening i will be using no lid so you could how to do it without a lid still being there that would be great

If you look, Sony was sneaky and put, not one, but two lid sensors on the PS2.
look where the lid has spikes that poke through holes in the case when you close the lid. These spikes push the sensors.
What you need to do is take off the top portion of the case and match up where the little holes are to where there are small little buttons on the motherboard. If you power on the system and press these two buttons, the disk will start spinning. That's how you'll know you got the right ones.
You'll need to bridge the contacts to bypass the switches. They're so small that you can probably just eave them on, but if you want the board looking neat, then take them off. Hope that helps.

you can simply desolder switch further back in the drive and bridge it with a wire them solder a toggle switch onto the sensor located on the powerboard
