Antiglare mod

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Antiglare mod

Post by GamecubePerson111 »

I've been having some trouble with anti glare modding my psone screen. I was able to peel it off very easily except a piece of it ripped and stayed connected to the polarizer. I tried getting it off, I even resoaked the little piece of antiglare filter on the screen but it won't budge. Any suggestions or help would be awesome, Thanks.

Maybe someone who borked their screen board will sell you the LCD?

Probably not the answer you were looking for, though.

It can be removed with a resoak of about 20 minutes over just that spot, but it might leave a smudge now.

You will have to get an edge of it up with a razor blade. Be VERY careful and pick the edge up without hitting the polarizer beneath it.

I tried to do this with a broken screen and it didn't soak long enough. There were lines of adhesive left but it came off really easy with some windex.

I actually have lifted up a little more of the polarizer because the piece that is stuck is on a corner, but I'll try the windex. Also I got a few smudges on the screen, is there anyway to remove them?
