Anyone have a good picture of the NTSC psone screen back?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Anyone have a good picture of the NTSC psone screen back?

Post by Kyo »

It'd be useful for a guide I'm writing. I have an NTSC screen but I don't want to take it apart yet because it'll just lay around and get scratched or whatever.

I have a PS1 screen, but it's a PAL one, so that probably wouldn't help you.

I've got one that's really high def. It's missing the regulator on top though because it was led modded.

EDIT: took a minute to upload.

EDIT 2
photobucket resized it, download the full one here.

Thanks! If anyone has a non-led modded one that'd be good as well but this will help me (it's actually quite useful because I'm writing a guide on how to do ben's brightness-hack on both pal and NTSC, and this one has it applied, so I could make a before and after pic for ntsc as well :))

Mostly unmodded NTSC PSOne screen, except for two blue wires, one to bypass the headphone switch and the other to let the unit turn on when it has power.

Are those zenith screens? I've never seen the 220uH inductor going to the inverter pcb section before.

Mine's the gray Sony one, not a Zenith.

All of my original psone screens had that. They weren't zenith.

My V2.2N board here doesn't have the inductor. It also has a lot more passives (smd caps, resistors, etc) than both of yours, which are V2.4N. Interesting. o.q

Well I do know for a fact that there are different revisions (more capacitors, less capactors).

Could you scan/take a good photo of your board? It'd be lovely to have high res photos of all revisions

I have 1.3P,1.3P and 1.3P again (P obviously standing for pal). I also have a fourth board that is probably 1.3P, but I cut it apart before checking/taking pics

I've never seen that on any of my screens either. Hmm...

i have a completely unmodded ntsc psone screen i could take pictures of. My dad bought a big ass camera (Nikon d2x) a while back and it shoots hi def pictures. Tell me if you still need them
