PSone screen speakers dont make a sound

ok, i have been wracking my brain for the last little while now trying to figure out why my psone lcd wont output any sound through the speakers. i have it hooked up according to this diagram:


im completely out of ideas here, so if anyone has any suggestions about this i would be ecstatic to hear them,

but also, i had considered running a wire from the head phone points over to the speakers to try and give them sound, what do you all think about that??

Did you connect 2-9 and 3-A?

You have to bridge pins 5,6 and 7 on the psone screen, which are Headphone Left, Headphone Right, and Headphone switch if you dont have the headphone jack hooked up to the psone screen.

Does sound work through headphones?

If so, perhaps you need to look at 2-6: headphone switch.

well fúck me sideways and call me a toaster!!!! that was it, i just needed to solder those points together, which was the one thing that diagram didnt mention
