Something strange is going on...

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Something strange is going on...

Post by andrewdorsey »

So I was finally able to purchase a ps1 screen and I plugged it in my ps2 to test it out, and it all worked. Then I opened it and led modded the screen. I turned the screen back on and there was some strange color inversion or something. When the color was suppost to be black, it was white. When it was suppost to display red, it was blue etc...
I tried soany things and it just won't work. I do know the screen works because it worked fine before I took it apart.

Any help would be highly apreciated.

Here is the wii menu.

We'll have to add that to the list of common psone screen issues.

Inverted colors?
Check the battery! :)

Actually, I had it running off of wall power and the colors were going crazy. Then I attatched a battery to the screen and it worked fine. So it wasn't the battery at all.

I can't imagine how a faulty power supply can cause the colors on a screen to invert. The only thing I can imaging a power supply doing is either giving low power, too much power, or not working at all. Maybe even the voltage fluctuating, but I don't see how any of that can interfere with colors.
