What all for N64p -

Okay, so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the wiring for N64's power - I have 3 3.7v Li-pos with a total of 11.1v. So far
I know I need a 7808 to bring the screen power to 8v
I need the 2k Ohm resistor, PTH08000, and 100 uf Electrolytic capacitor
Is that all I'll need to get this baby up and running?
Also, the controller - can I just use one and slice it into two pieces and rewire the supposed 6 wires to wire them back together?

You only need to use two 3.7v li-po batteries in a series to get 7.4v. The great thing is, the n64 can use this instead of the normal 12v. The psone screen can accept 7.4v, as well. The only thing you'll need is a regulator for the 3.3v line, which is the pth08000.
You'll need some stuff for casing, and a screen. (Hopefully a psone screen.) Probably a few spare n64s just in case, and a protection circuit and charger for the batteries if you don't already have those.

Well, the reason I'm asking about 11.1v is 1) I want the play time and 2) I already have the charger and protection circuit for 11.1v and am not forking out another 40$ to get different ones.

Adding 3.7v to the battery won't increase play time. But the charger thing is a good reason, another pcb would only be about $5 but chargers usually run $20 or so I believe.

The charger will run me another 30$, the PCB another 5$. I don't have that much money to fork out on this with christmas shopping right now - I have the batteries, screen, and casing already - all I need are the regulators/resistors etc for wiring the battery. I still need my original question answered

Well, for an n64p, of course you'll need a screen, casing, controller materials, etc., but that's all you'll need for power besides a switch or two and a power jack for the batteries if they don't already have one.

And do I need anything else for any other voltages besides the 3.3v? I'm using Harshboy's diagram, btw.

The resistor and cap stay the same for the regulator no matter what voltage you input, the other line of the n64 will accept 11.1v just fine and the 7808 will handle the psone screen's power requirements.

Yes you ought to be able to do that, but keep in mind you will have to keep the original n64 joystick that way.

Perfectly fine with that, I actually prefer it just because it makes me feel like I'm actually playing an N64 . ONE MORE QUESTION, hahah: Are there only 6 traces to connect, or is that just for simplicity in the diagram?

mA consumption on a Dreamcast :
1500mA at 11.1v
1900mA at 7.4v
So if you had 3.7v 4700mAh batteries like the ones in my thread you would get :
3.13 hours at 11.1v
2.47 hours at 7.4v
Of course you now have more weight, more heat, and you spent $15 more.
So it might be better to just find more mAh batteries and run them at 7.4v.

Man, now I wish I hadn't screwed up that Gamecube and bought the 11.1v stuff...oh well, I'm really just stuck with this stuff right now. I'll do this one and be smarter about it with the next N64p

Yea I need to run the N64 numbers when I get home. I'll have to hook up a Ti and then run 7.4v and 11.1v through it and get some numbers.snowpenguin wrote:
