I don't own a car currently. But I moslty drive my mom's 03 Oldsmobile Silhouette. And sometimes I drive my dad's 96 Ford Ranger.
And since I'm here already. I guess I will show off my dad's newest ride, a 1978 AMC Matador Wagon:

Update on my Comanche. Did a quick alignment today (was toed in really bad). Now its good enough to not eat tires. All the interior other than the dash is now sitting in the bed. Discovered a lot of surface rust beneath the flooring, gonna sand it down to metal and spray it with some rust stopping primer. The vinyl-ish flooring is kinda cut up, I'm thinking of covering the floor with some DIY bedliner. It'll get registered next week, so I'll finally be able to drive it on the road.

Rust-O-Leum heavy rusted metal primer is great. We have an old-ass pickup kicking around, and that stuff seals the rust up really well (at least, far better than the cheap stuff).* I think it covers better than the light rust primer. Get one of those "pretend your rattle can is a real paint sprayer" handles if you're going to do a lot; your fingers will thank you.vskid wrote:Discovered a lot of surface rust beneath the flooring, gonna sand it down to metal and spray it with some rust stopping primer.
* Of course not even POR-15 will fix the floor in that thing; it's made out of 40% rust and 60% air. Curse you, hole in the drip rail sealant that lets water into the cab when it rains! I'm gonna fill you with caulk one of these days!
Hivemind. I was thinking that as I read your post. The vinyl-ish flooring is kinda cut up, I'm thinking of covering the floor with some DIY bedliner.
EDIT:

The stuff I have is Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer. I used it on some of the rust on the exterior, but its starting to flake off a bit. I probably didn't do a good enough prep job. I just used a rust remover wheel thing (like the one in this pic I found) to get off the rust and then did a couple light coats. I'll see if I can find some sand paper to use after I remove the majority of the rust with the wheel.bicostp wrote:Rust-O-Leum heavy rusted metal primer is great. If the front bodywork ever gets destroyed, I'll look into it, just for you. I might upgrade the grille to the 97+ style, it shouldn't cost too much to get the parts from the junkyard. The grille was actually upside down when I bought it, I finally realized it and fixed it a couple weeks ago. You can see it in this pic.bicostp wrote:JEEP. 2500. PARTS.

Not completely finished but ridable.
