Introduce Yourself Thread

[Knux the Fox]

Hi there! I'm Knux Kitsune, aka Knux the Fox, and I'm fairly new here. I've been lurking for a while and just recently started posting. To be honest, it was Life of Brian that led me to this site. I've been a subscribed to his youtube for ages.

Anyways, I've been doing a little experimenting, trying to get my feet wet in the modding scene, and might eventually get the nerve to make my own kind of portable. I still have tons of ideas for an Xbox (original) portable, but I'm not so sure just how to go about doing everything, like adding the screen, and making it run off batteries. I'm also not sure how small the system board can possibly get. I ordered a gamebit and I'm going to tinker with my SNES.

I couldn't find an Introduce Yourself Thread, so if there is one, could a mod move this there? Otherwise, I might just make this the introductions thread.

This may be a better way for new people to start up on this forum than telling us how they're going to make a sweet xbox360 laptop or ask a ridiculous question that's already in a sticky (one of my favorite past times...)

Hiya, call me Riki for short if you want... *waves*
I'm a fairly new modder, but I've been up to the forum gig for almost a year now. I'm fairly educated about the stuff that goes around here, but i'm no electronics wiz. I can't design my own circuits and what not, but given the right instructions and I can do anything soldering wise. I have yet to make a portable, but have so many ideas for cases. I have made a few case mods to NES's. And currently plan on building a custom JAMMA cabinet for an arcade board I obtained recently.
