yeah, I had a little less free time those days, I'm also trying to get better informatic studies, but I must pass a exam first (it includes maths, gramatic, literature, and english language)
and I'm a bit scared of maths, not really my subject hehe, I'm also a bit out from modding, no money and no time is bad for this great hoobie.

that is basically why I was not very active ^^

btw, I'm glad this comunity keep surprising us with new amazing portables like this one, the case is a piece of art, I would love to own one of them

you can find them here:

I just made two, and the first one was ....... big and ....UGLY :D
the second one still big anyway ^^

In other words, almost all portables from this site beat my portables ^^ hehe

I may have a third try to get a small and cute one :D

Finally there's some activitiy in this forum section :D

The case will not be remade. I'm making a GCMini which I most likely will mass produce once I get it fully functional. Also like most people already said the laser CAN'T be slimmed. Do not try it as it will leave you with a dead laser. I have tried to slim it down many times and it all ended in death

I relocated the laser in this portable (wired the laser directly to the ddmobo) so not with the laser extension cables hailraizer used. It works but allot of work but if you can use the extension cable's do that! much less work and works like a charm

In my GCMini I will attempt to get the portable not thicker than the DD laser itself. But since time is not on my side I have no idea when I can get round to it. When anything get's done I'll post a worklog here so everybody can try it for themselfs.

I made GC mobo as small as 10,9 x 10,9 cm (used in this protable and also in my GCMini). You can cut of the laser pinout like Teknott but only cut of things if you are going to use the space. Like Tchay said it's all about how you place everything. Best is to play around with the placement and see what kind of case design your going for

well man, that is one sexy ass case! I'm very impressed you have compacted the thing to that real 'handheld' size.

very nice work.

That looks great! I especially like how the case is designed. Looks very comfortable to play.

My GCp was sold to eurddrue.

It was a zn45, and OBVIOUSLY the disk drive stuck out. I think that was made about a year ago, actually, and I could probably have slimmed things down quite a bit.
