I have a Gameboy Pocket...the one without an LED battery indicator. Some questions
1) Can an LED battery indicator be installed by someone on here?
2) Can a back/front lit screen be put in?
3) What mods can be done, or simply different batteries used for longer play time?
Thank you!

1. I have no idea, I've never had a GBP.
2. You can frontlight it, I had a link... I'll find it later.
3. You can do a solar power mod. It's in the forums here, probably still on the first page. Link!

Actually, the GBP can be backlit, which is easier than frontlighting because of parts availability.smitty wrote:2. You can frontlight it, I had a link... I'll find it later.
Re: Some input needed
When you ask about a LED battery indicator, do you mean just an LED that turns on when the unit is on and then back off when you turn the unit off? Or do you mean something more like what's on a DS? Green when the battery is charged and orange when its getting low?

Of course I've heard of it, I've never owned one.Erlex wrote:You have never heard of a GBP?smitty wrote:1. I have no idea, I've never had a GBP.
And doesn't the GBP have a battery indicator built in? Or was that just the GBC?
edit: I found a picture! The little red light next to the screen!

There are two models, one has an LED indicator, one does not.
Here is a guide that Bibin made on backlighting the Gameboy Pocket: http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=210" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
