Hi im new here and need advice

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

It would be easier to read your posts if you bothered to add a period or capital letter occasionally.

You can use a portable DVD player IF it has a Video IN, but not OUT, and you will also have to include the whole DVD player in your portable, making it fairly large.

I don't know if you need the DVD drive, you probably don't. Anybody who know, correct me if need be.

Nope, but you need the whole board intact. :x

Yes. Find the regulator on the DVD motherboard that outputs 5v and connect it to the SNES after you have disabled the 7805 on the SNES mainboard.

After that, connect composite out on the SNES to composite in on the DVD player. Follow the mono sound pin back to an IC where it splits into two signals. The left one is white, the right one is red. Connect these to right and left audio respectively.

After that hook up a 12v battery to the portable DVD player. (why 12v? Most portable DVD players run off of it, and since you didn't mention which model you are using I can't be sure.)

After that, make a case, whether you use a box from something else (such as a router) and screw it all together and you have a portable. I can help you with a case if you really need it.

There: a very concise guide to building your own SNES portable.

Dude, that thing doesn't even have Composite In. :?
That means you can't use it. In other words:
You will need a new screen that does work (try the PSone screen, that thing is amazing)
You will need the SNES (duh) either Mini or Retro Duo
You will need a controller
You will need some wires, solder, a soldering iron (25-30 W)
You will need some sort of box (a frankencase, a CNC'ed out unit, vacuum formed, the choice is yours)

You will need time and patience. You will need this more than anything else... ever.

Both the screen and the original SNES will work. In fact, it has been done before, it is just harder to get small.

It'll be hard to find a case at polycase to house a 7" widescreen and still have room for controls and stuff, but your best bet there is probably the ZN-40 or ZN-45.

I've just solid core wire from network cables, but they are kind of hard to work with.

I think that ben suggests threaded wire from IDE cables.
