HEY!
I just did the same thing to my PC (though legally). Just do a backup, pop in the xp cd, reboot, and press any key when prompted. From there just repatition, and let the CD guide you. Only problem, if this is an illegal XP installation, i know (NOT FROM EXPERIENCE....) that you may have trouble with activation. Thats why I "borrow" my dad's educational license for XP pro, which doesnt need activation, cause it's educational, so I can use it as much as I want, illegally. (I DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!)

lemme guess- lost your XP pro CD key? If you haven't reformatetd yet, right-click My Computer, select properties, and the code will be displayed there.

If you still need the cd key, go to google groups.

Thats not the cdkey fool.

Use google and you'll be able to find a simple application which will display your current cd key.

Well, I was fixing a Win98 box and that worked. Too bad Micro$oft got rid of that, because all the win98 machines at school have the same code number (copied off each other one at a time. )
