Now that's just dumb.vskid wrote:Just FYI, most of us have lives. That means we have better things to do than search another forum for schemes against a contest hosted by our site. I know I didn't find out about the "plans" until after the voting was over.ShockSlayer wrote:I'm saying lazer bribed, and you guys said nothing.
Nothing until now, that is. Why wait so long?

This whole argument is being overthought. You're looking at the details that don't exist.

I didn't know about the "plans" until now, either. I didn't vote, so that doesn't make any difference. I still would have voted for Bacteria's.

You guys can either forgive me or hate my living guts till the day I die. Either way, I'm deeply sorry.

Lol, epic post.DNT 2.5 wrote:Banned for voting, welcome to democracy guys.
You still can't prove any of us voted for that specific reason.

I feel like the root of all evil for having suggested this year's compo.
Can I be forgiven? (to self).

If you're getting 404'd when trying to use the links in stickies, try this tutorial to find that juicy info.
Re: Portable-Palooza 2009 - Voting Was Influenced
We know. Bans weren't considered for bacteria, lazer, or any others involved. Even if we could prove why everyone voted, it would only be used to recount the votes.snowpenguin wrote:You still can't prove any of us voted for that specific reason.

Well, looks like things have almost been resolved. let me close with this:
From what i gathered after all this happened, Bac is innocent. Also, the reason you see all these "vote for prizesz" posts is just from misinformation. Indeed, it was originally for the "lulz" although i still think some could have got placed higher than lazer, it is their decision who to vote for. If i didnt think Banditpaw was annoying, i might of voted for him out of sheer badness. Its funny. Be causes it's bad. You know, like how you laugh because something is so bad? it's entertainment, and thats why some people voted. I don't think you guy's should be preying on us. and so what if some of us didnt like Mashells? maybe it was to simplistic, or the color wasnt cool enough. Everyone is sorry for what they did, and from what i can gather, no one cares where the prizes went. Look at it this way: Remember that kid running for president in grade school? he would win votes by giving away candy. Now i am not saying this is the case with us, but think about it.

Why does it matter? If you were part of the competition, you might know what it feels like to be shadowed out (I know I'm not the only one) by a portable made in 15 minutes, just because people wanted a funny. inb4 "baww interent etc"We just thought it would be funny to vote for Lazer. Is there harm in that? Really? If there is, explain why that is so bad.
