I am well aware that Ben started this thread. Ben and I could very well be in cahoots. Or I could be talking out of my tanline. Or maybe Ben is.

If not.... I could still be a GameCube........ a GameCube Q
Yes the original CD-Rom he bought was a sliding tray (like all computer CD-Roms) as it didnt work and he didnt need it anyways he removed that function.

I dont think Ben would buy a GCQ, something like thats goes for $400+. I doubt it especally with how froogle he makes himself out to be.

I wouldn't necessarily call him frugal, I mean, who in their right mind would spend $400 on a system just to rip it apart and possibly fry it? More like common sense than frugalness.

If you look at the LED modded PSone screen, GTA: Vice City is playing! I don't know if that is a hint or not to what he's making, But it just seems more and more like a PS2 is the lucky console.

I think that I just might have got a hint from somebody.
While on the gamesx forums I posted Bens brightness mod for the ps1 lcd since someone was doing rgb with it. Then the person later replied with this

I talked to Ben and he showed me a regulator on the PS2 board where I can pull 7.2 volts! Let me know if you guys want me to show the photo he sent me. Can't wait to get this completed. I was thinking, would it be best to make a plug similiar to the one on the back of a PS1 LCD (the yellow plug) and put that on the back of the PS2, and then just have a cable that links them up? I didn't want any wires hanging off the back.
I'm not sure if it's the same Ben, but if it is this gives me a pretty good idea of what his next portable is.

the portable saturn would be... small, yeah small... its one of those tiny consoles just beging to get portable. just imagine playing those grate games like.... well some old sega games. and the wight, puting ths any where on you would be a major work out, ben could get all buff and strong... and then theres power consumtion, well lets not worie about that now. just imagine playing grate titles like vertual fighter or daytona usa
while straning your arms and back every where you go!

The original Ben Heck here. Here's my tally thus far:

8 Atari 2600 Jr's
2 Atari 2600 4-switches
1 PS2
3 pocket TV's

And counting...

I bet its a PS2p!!!

Post by bizzy401 »

Okay seriously..this is an old thread, and we all know that it was a PS2p by now ( and pretty impressive at that) I just wanted to add how cool a portable Turbo Grafix 16 would be. Low power, small games, but I think this might have already been done... kinda like the nomad.

Just a thought.

I gotta say, this is kinda funny to look back at... only 1 vote for the PS2, and that's what it was. Which reminds me, Uber day is coming (when Ben made his NOAC NESp and everyone thought it would be a PS2p... there were even bets made)
