Hey guys. I don't feel like AV modding my Sega Genesis Model 2 (Because, I don't know how. Haha. The info stickie doesnt tell me anything.)
I was wondering if theres anyone in Canada, who has a Genesis Model 2 AV cable for sale. (Composite cable, NOT the RF Cable.)
Canada prefered.
Name your price.

This mod is super easy and fun. This pinout should have enough info for you to do it yourself.

Okay, you showed me two pictures. But Im confused. What do I do? Where do I solder yellow, white, and red cables? (Audio L, Audio R, and Video)
This is the confusing part, as I dont know what to do.

Get some RCA jacks from Radio Shack.
Take your Genesis apart. For composite you need pin 4. Put your ohmmeter or continuity tester between that pin and the av jack solder joints to find where it's at on the Genesis pcb. Once you find it you only need to solder a wire from there to the center pin on the composite RCA jack. For stereo jacks its the same but use pin 8 for left and pin 9 for right.
The other lead on the RCA jacks are grounds, wire each to ground.
Good Luck!

Re: WTB: Sega Genesis Model 2 A/V / Composite Cable
I unfortunatly don't have an ohm meter. Maybe someone has a step by step guide or a picture of the PCB/motherboard that shows where to solder the wires to.
Re: WTB: Sega Genesis Model 2 A/V / Composite Cable
What a coincidence, I was deleting some stuff off of my pc and found this.
The points shown in this photo (pick whichever one you like) need to go to the center pin on the RCA jacks. The other (outer) terminal on the RCA jacks go to ground.
A multimeter is an ultra valuble tool for this hobby, you can find them cheap too.

I posted the pinouts for genesis 2/3 av in the reference a while back.
If you're getting 404'd when trying to use the links in stickies, try this tutorial to find that juicy info.
