Feeling Pretty Stupid...

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Putting them in series ups the voltage, not the amperage. Putting them in parallel ups th amperage, not the voltage.
I know. Bicostp said use D cells, but last time I looked at the specs for a D, it was over 21 amps. So long story short, when I said that, I meant use AAAs, because you don't need that much current. It really doesn't matter what batteries you use, as long as it is about 7.5V total.

Crap. Now I'm confused. :?

Series is when one battery is connected to its neighbor, and parallel is when they're all hooked directly to the thing which needs power.

Because I meant to hook the batteries between each other, not each seperately plugs into the powered thing.

I got it to work. I was just testing it. I took a 4 AA battery holded and added another battery to make it 7.5 volts. I went to do something and when I came back it didn't work and I checked the batteries and they were dead. i think the wires that I had connected to the batteries shorted and drained the batteries. What should I do to get the 9 volts from my Genesis down to 7.5 for the screen?
