DUUUDE! This is the one time I can say this: You should go punch him in the eye really hard, and then say: an eye for an eye, female of the dog species!

Aww, come on! It'll be a great story to tell, and I DOUBT you will get in trouble, your parents'll agree because they had to pay for it, or did the other guy's parents have to?

been shot with a pellet gun, didn't hurt. I play a lot of paintball...Pain kinda doesn't hit till WAY later. The eye...always the eye....why do people always get it in the eye?

Kid on TV a while back, same thing, except it was a BB gun. BB is still in his eye....

Wow, that sucks...at least now you can be a "Bad Dude" by wearing your sunglasses indoors! (song about that in the works  )

But you can still see out that eye, right? Will there be any permanent effects?

As for your friend, I'd go and smack him upside the head, and tell him he owes you BIGTIME.

I commend you on the ability to let things go, and glad to see you're not going to lose the eye. Docs say anything about losing eyesight at all? I would think you'd have some distortion going on, for at least a while. The great thing about the eyes is that they are the fastest-healing organ in the body!

I would so not be good with someone who even though about pointing a gun at my head for any reason, no matter what gun it is. I had this "friend" when I was younger who thought it was funny once to tell me we were going to go bird hunting with his BB guns (he had 3 or so,) but once we got in the woods where no one could hear or see us I ended up being the target.

Then again, your buddy probably isn't THAT kind of psychotic moron. Thankfully I wasn't hurt, but that was pretty much the end of our association.

wow. The eye. That's got to be the suckiest place to get shot, too.

Oh, and if it isn't a problem, could we get a few pictures of the eye?

I want pics.

Like others have asked, any long term effects? I like my eyesight, and even slightly messing it up would suck hard, I would rather lose a finger or something, to be honest.

I had a "friend" who hauled ass my my face using a 9 iron gold club, cleaved my jaw clean off, broken on both sides. They have to re-attach it. Luckily, only the impact zone has a scar, the rest was more of a clean tear, so it went together nicely. I just have a scar running own from a little below the side of my lip to under my jaw, I think it makes me look badass.

And I am proud of the fact that I did not pass out, despite the fact they would not give me oral pain meds, so I had to wait till they could inject them.

We totally need a "post your worst injuries" thread!

that would make a grate thread! right know, its like looking through a foggy window, and all you can see is shapes. there shouldnt be any permanent damage to my sight, as long as i dont knock the clot loose.im gunna spend most of my time working on my art. and as for pictures, when i was at my friends house , waiting for my mom to pick me up, we took about five pictures. as soon as i get them, ill post them 8)

Thank goodness! Hanging around on laserpointerforums, you hear all kinds of stories about permanent eye damage. The ones that really scare me are the ones where they can see fine for most things, but for some reason relating to the way the brain compensates for eye damage, looking at books, screens, or other close up stuff that requires tight eye-focus is impossible to read/see. Good bye, internet, games, and books.
