Well I've found some parts.

220 Ohm resistor:

33 Ohm resistor:

Having extras is nice anyways and useful later. And they are CHEAP AS DIRT. This goes for both resistors.

2N4401:

buy a few in case you fry one

7805: There's a lot

I recommend the first one, lower dropout voltage. In any case get a few extras, they are very handy. I could not find any good LDO regulators sadly.

0.1uF Capacitors:

Buy 5-10, they are useful.

100uF (better than 10uF) Capacitors:

Buy about 5 or so.

Diode:

Buy 2 or 3.

In any case, think of anything else you want before you order. It's cheaper to ship it all together.

I was going to try to find a cart slot but I need the pitch and board thickness.

well i cant use digikey i just had an argument with the guy he wanted to charge me 18 gbp or 34 dollars on items worth 12 gbp or 22 dollars, they cant weigh more than 500 grams . really annoyed by that now i have to find a new company grr

any suggestions on what to do. Stuck in a rut atm. cant find the parts i need at a sutible price. case is done everything ready soon as i get my parts and cartridge slot.

just a quick rerun of some questions i asked if anyones willing to answer. has anyone got a picture of the connector from a game genie. can i solder it straight to the board and i'm guessing its a single slot as opposed to the double in the original nes?

can i just use the power regulator without the capacitors ect Ben seems to wire his batts straight to the regulator 7805 then to the board. With no mention of building a power regulator with capacitors. unless i've missed that page?

I don't have any pictures, but yes the game genie is a single slot that can be soldered directly to the board.

Without caps can be done, not recommended. You probably have some, look in some junked electronics. Anywhere from 100uf to 1000uF will do.
