PS1 screen too green

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

PS1 screen too green

Post by monster »

i hooked up my new PS1 screen to the back of my PS2 and is started playing a PS1 game (parasite eve 2), except it was all green instead of white. a screen comes up saying the publishers name like it always does, except instead of white writing on black it's now green writing on black.

i hope is something as simple as a different pin configuration for a PS2, because i just laid down $54 bucks on this.

if this is an actual problem, how could i fix it?

i was very careful taking it out of it's case, the case was the only think i flocked up (and that was just around that seam around the perimeter) noticably, and it's nothin a little sandpaper couldn't make look less crappy.

i had the entire thing out of the case and i plugged the connector (for the video) straight into the back of the PS2 (i tried to do this with the screen in the back of the case, but the power connector got in the way)

does this make a difference?

No, the ps2 corrupts rgb for any dvd or dvd based game.

But he's playing a ps1 game. Could a resistor on the green channel have been damaged or something? That happened with a 13" TV I had once.

That might be his problem. Replace the resistor with a trim pot.

Why not replace/add a trim pot to all 3?

i have no idea what it means when you say a PS2 corrupts RGB on DVD games, how and where i connect a trimmer pot to the board.

i think i'll just ask my GF to bring over her PS1 next time she comes over to hang out, it won't be missed if her dad is at work.

Just follow the Green trace to a resistor, and put on a pot.

Just to help, helligkeit=Brightness, and rotstich=Red Pass. Anybody know what farbsattigung means? Im not sure, but you can probably set up the red mod on CV18, which I believe is green (better test first though).
