Analog stick on a gameboy?

Re: Analog stick on a gameboy?
I think an analog stick would make a gba worse. i mean, the d pad works just fine and adding a analog stick is something i would do if i didnt even have paint to watch dry. it is a pointles project that wont achieve much of an outcome
Falco upon hearing that Slippy and his fiancee are stranded on the water planet:
"What? Slippy's engaged? Like, to a woman?"

Re: Analog stick on a gameboy?
On one of my Gameboy Micro's I drilled a hole in the center of the dpad and pushed an analog stick from a PS2 pad in it.
I know some people don't like this idea but I think if done properly it works well but if you get it a little off center it feels rubbish.
P.S: It also works really well on fighting games e.g S/F ALPHA and S/f 2 turbo revival.

Usually I'd say "PICS OR GTFO!" But since you take everything the wrong way, "Could you post pictures of that? I'm pretty interested."
(If you couldn't tell by the smiley, I'm joking about the GTFO part)

Hoorah! I starred in the last pic!
Maybe you could get a youtube video showing that working, that looks pretty interesting. So you just drilled a hole and put a ps2 joystick in it? I might try that sometime.

Re: Analog stick on a gameboy?
it looks the the Ps2 analog stick is sticking kind of far up, is it comfortable at all?
I would sand it down so it would pretty much be right on the D-pad itself....

I retract my statement, (I thought you ment you had drilled into the board and put a hole ps2 (pots and all) stick in there)

The 1980's just called, and they want their Sega Master System control pad with screw-in joystick back!

Yes I just drilled the hole sanded the thumb stick down and pushed it in it isn't glued in so I can take it out if I want without too much effort.eurddrue wrote:Hoorah! It does seem high in the pic but the GBM is very small so it isn't really that high and yes its very comfortable.argelfraster wrote:it looks the the Ps2 analog stick is sticking kind of far up, is it comfortable at all?
