I scored "Counter-Strike" and "Doom 3" for the Xbox for $1 each Saturday. As I was leaving the sale, I also found a MadCatz wireless Xbox controller and nabbed that for another $2. Not bad for late in the day!

Wow, cheap. I haven't found anything yet. It doesn't help that nobody seems to have a garage sale. :(

Don't feel too bad friend. We've got lots of garage sales in my neck of the woods, unfortunatly, I have yet to see any good video game material..heck, any video game material at all :(

Hopefully I'm getting an XBOX for free tomorrow. The guy who was going to sell it to me left it outside  and now it's broken. :( But for $0 I'll find something resembling a use  Maybe a shelf or ginormous paperweight.

EDIT: WooHoo! Got my free XBOX! Found a copy of Halo 2 in the drive. Seems to have the broken plug issue. Should be an easy fix, just gotta find some Torx drivers. Maybe I'll add some USB ports while I'm in there. I plan on doing a TSOP flash. How easy and/or safe is it to do?

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath for £3.50. Probably the best FPS on the xbox, yet not many people know about. Makes a fine addition to my forgotten gems collection.

I got a polariod portable DVD player for free today. It is like the one I just bought in every way except it is a year newer. The laser has some trouble reading disks, but hey. It has AV in.

Got a new-in-bag Powerbook 5300/1400 monitor adapter (they had a smaller plug to save space.) for free from someone who was throwing it away. Connect a Mac monitor to VGA adapter to it and it will work with just about everything!

I got a MadCatz RetroCON Playstation controller today from a car boot sale because it uses analogue controllers which are about 1/2 height, and also two small and excellent rumble motors (great); both ideal features I have been looking out for, for a grand price of 70p (seller wanted £1). I thought it was great, wanted more, looked on e-bay, turns out they cost about £25 each and are extremely rare items as they look a bit like a NES pad.

Got a NEW XBOX RF modulator at Zellers (department store) for $5. It had probably been sitting there for years. They had 3 or so, I probably should have grabbed them all. Anyway I have no use for an RF modulator, but the connector has ALL the pins so I can make a homebrew component video cable.

I think I got some good deals today.

My friend had the new ipod nano 4th gen. His mom backed over the top half of it with her car, thus shattering the screen. The rest works fine, but My friend wanted me to replace the screen for him. Finally, he decided to buy one of his teacher's ipods instead. I got the nano for $35. Now I am off to buy a replacement screen.

Also, I bought a ps2 slim that no longer reads disks from another friend for $10.

Backed onto a ipod? how does that happen!?
