Haven't seen it yet. Theatres are really expensive here. Not gonna waste $20 on Trek. I don't really like Trek. SG-1 FTW!

Seriously though, probably not going to go to see it. Probably going to rent it when it comes out.

You can watch the entire original series for free here:
http://www.youtube.com/show?p=Zk2dX5DnW_c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't know why you'd WANT to, but you CAN. :P (Jeez, I know it's a nerd classic, but it's second only to the original Batman TV series on the camp-ometer.) And yes this is legit. CBS put it there.

Meh, probably won't see it until they run it on TV. I was never really a fan of the original series; I like Next Generation and Voyager a lot better. But if you like it, good for you. :)

So, how long does the movie go until it's obvious the writers said "screw it, let's just have a great big nerd-off"? :lol:

I saw it last night. Take everyone you know to the theater with you and go see it right now! I thought it was fantastic, and they nailed the characters perfectly.

Because it will be all modern-actioney, which will probably be the reason why I'll hate it.

I'll go see it anyway for posterity.

use a proxy server so they think you're in a different country.

Now, for the Star Trek movie: It was spectacular. I don't see many movies in theaters, but this one is a must. They did a great job casting the characters (though I take issue with Chekov being on the bridge when he wasn't there in the beginning of TOS). I am a fan of TOS and TNG, and this did not disappoint one bit. It didn't quite follow in the same vain as the older Star Trek movies as there was more action in it, but it did not have a deficiency in story. This is one movie that is sure to appease most hard-core Star Trek fans, casual Star Trek fans, and even people who had never really been interested in it. JJ Abrams is the next movie god and we should all bow down to him. Now.

Me too. I think it's only available in the US, because it's CBS.

Besides the fact that Chris Pine played as Kirk, it was a great movie!
