GBA project

Post by omegabullit » Wed Aug 18, 2004 10:09 pm

Has anyone ever tried to put a GBA in a SNES controller? I think it might be a tad to small, but if you think about it, that would be like putting a PS2 in a PS2 controller, since the GBA is practically a SNES. Then again, thats kinda wat the PSP is :D . Technology, as much as I kno about it NEVER ceases to amaze me.

You can try out the GBA mod Cennar did. He took a GBA SP and put it into a GBO case.

Nah, I was specifically looking for the SNES. Besides, I only have the original GBA, so limits shape.

Well I dont see it being possible to put an SNES into a GBA case. If you want to be funny just make an SNESp and have a case that looks like a GBA's (just bigger). Otherwise your very limited on what you can do with the SNES system

Trust me, the only way you're geting a GBA in there is haveing the screen either separate or on the outside of the controller. And even then, you have to change a few things around...

It's not a novice project. I don't suggest you do it.

I wouldnt consider myself novice. It wasnt a difficulty factor, just a size factor.

Here's an idea.

1. Scan GBA
2. Use IrFan View to blow up GBA to SNES board's length.
3. Print
4. Cut out on cardboard
5. Test.
6. Make clay model.
7. Vaccume form.
8. Be happy.

Its funny I just remmebered a thread where we talked about Nintendo repackaging games, if you did make an SNESp that looked like an over-sized GBA then you'd be ruining Nintendo's stratagy.

Well whatever you do good luck, dont forget to post pics please.

haha, its like repackaging old systems in newer systems. Maybe thats nintendos NEXT idea (though they did make NES colored GBA SP's and GC's  ). We may be on to something here
