Group screen buy? $33, PSone LCDs.

Post by palmertech » Sun Apr 26, 2009 9:21 pm

For sale on ebay, 100x Zenith (Same guts as PSone) LCDs.

It works out to $33 each at buy it now prices, but we could also make an offer.

Any chance people want to commit to this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/100-pcs-Zenith-5-Po ... 1|294%3A50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If 90 can be filled, I can vouch for buying 10 myself. :mrgreen:

Ok, but who buys it, and who pays for shipping? In the action, it says buyer pays actual cost of shipping, which won't be cheap. Some people will have to pay more than $33 if the person buying wants to break even.

If we could get them all for $2500 they would be $25 + the cost of shipping divided out. If they were $25 dollars I would get 5.

Whether I buy in or not depends on shipping because I live in Canada, and shipping is really expensive to here. Plus they probably won't ship so I have to pay shipping cost TWICE (one to the seller, two to someone who'll ship it to me).

They would all be shipped to the person who buys them. It would cost less than $10 to mail one to you.

I would want to buy at least two, maybe three of more.

I might pledge one or two. I really feel sorry though for who ever gets the job of receiving these, getting payment from everyone, and shipping them to like fifty different people. That's going to be a mess!

No need, it's not happening anyway. Who's going to put $2500 at risk, assuming they did have the money?

Our best bet is putting together an order of about 20, emailing the guy and trying to negotiate a price. I'd bet he'd be more than happy to make a deal.

I'm going to try and get my friends in real life to donate to the cause! Then I'll use the screens to build them portables of their choice. :D (ps1 and older of course ;) )

Why don't you guys make a paypal and send all the money there? that way it's not a great big hassle and everybody is paying at once and not one guy.
