But is easier to keep organized(imo), and to move and twist the way I need it.

I would think the opposite. An undiscombobulated (I said it) ribbon cable would ultimately be more sturdy, safer, and neater. If it's "more flexible", that just means you have off-length wires.

No really, I enjoyed it, and I'm sure others did as well. If you like doing it and it kills some time, go for it. We'll watch them and make more hot glue jokes.

It's not hard at all. You just line up all of the wires with the pins. I noted 2.54mm-pitch cable, which is the same exact pitch the the N64 cart slot has.

Re: N64 cart slot relocation timelapse
Actually, I remember why I didn't do it: The spacing of the wires between each other(in the wire you mentioned, the one I split up) is too small, compared to the spacing between the pins of the n64.

DAMMIT!
I couldn't tell by the picture, I must be using smaller wire then. It looked the same to me.

Watched most of the first video and half of the last one. You could have condensed the whole thing into about 3 interesting minutes! Interesting to see your workshop-in-a-shed!
