Need to know!!!

Post by S q u e e ! »

I recently opened my gamecube, and I noticed there was a little pressure sensor switch with two "sticks" poking out of it. The lid on the inside has a lever that pushes these two sticks back when the lid is closed. I pushed on it, and it broke. I was wondering if this specific pressure sensor is something I could find at my local Radio Shack, or if it special ordered, or I can fix the gamecube with a new pressure sensor. Any help?

It is, like i said, just a switch with two sticks poking out, witch are pushed back when the lid is closed. Can I get a new one?

Simple answer, yes.

the is the lid sensor it can be replaced with a normal switch or just twisting the 2 wires leading to it together though if you do that the gamecube wil never know the lid is open if you can find a switch that has to be held down that would probubley be your best bet

Yes I hav, and It will not read the disc, and the disc doesn't even spin. I know, because I have it on a rickety table that normally moves when it starts to work, and now it doesn't move eve nthe slighteset bit.

I read, I was just replying to a previous post. I fixed the problem anyway, just did the twisting, and all is well.
