Snes lookalike unknown console?

Post by misjah »

I found this on a local trading site, it looks like SNES but it`s some kind of a clone. The guy who is selling it doesn`t know what is it and where did he get it. It`s called ``Super com entertainment computer system 72``. I`m just curious if anyone have some info about this console..... I`m going to bid for it anyway but for the reasonable price....
p.s. he will update me soon with some more pics with connectors and cartridge slot, as I asked....

It's a super famicom clone, mostly likely from Asia. It'll probably play all JAP Super Nintendo games, and American ones after Modification. If not it's an NES clone made to look like a SFami.

it's a famiclone. it will play famicom games. you can tell by the slot and the controllers. there is an a and b and then turbo buttons.

edit: this site has a listing of a lot of famiclones. in just the "a" section, i found 2 that look very similar to what you have pictured.

Thanx for fast reply guys....
Yes, I found 2 identical called ``Newtendo Super Famcom`` and ``NES clone (1)``
This version probably have 72 built in games and maybe support for carts, this one looks like slot for jap 72 pin carts instead of 60 pin that goes with many clones.... maybe this ``72`` is for a cart type.... will se if I get it....

no, no. the slot is for the japanese famicom carts that are 60 pins.

compare it to the first pic i have in my above post.

edit: huh. under further inspection, it may be an american famiclone. sorry! now i'm interested to see!

But I just took from my shelf one fami and one orig. nes cart to compare. The sticker on original big cart is placed in front and two angled parts of the case are at back.... so is the cart slot on the picture I posted. In your picture is different sided. This way the 60 pin cart will be placed different, sticker will go to the back side of famicom in my picture. Or maybe it`s supposed to be like that....
p.s. there`s no separate zapper gun connector too....

i already said that i saw it's probably for american 72 pin nes games. and i never said it was the exact same thing as either of those pictures, so what does it's lack of a separate light gun port have anything to do with it? that won't make it any less of a famiclone. it's just simply a famiclone with a 72 pin cart slot on it.

Sorry, fast reading.... It`s actually in the UCD list, it`s Brazillian clone:

Code: Select all

I`m still getting it, I like NES clones and never had a 72 pin clone, can`t wait to open it....

I've said this before, and will continue to say this in big bold letters.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER FOR SURE, DON'T ACT LIKE YOU DO. ESPECIALLY IF THE OTHER PERSON DOESN'T KNOW ANY BETTER. THIS IS HOW MYTHS, RUMORS, AND MISINFORMATION GETS SPREAD.

Dark-Aries, this means you. All that I require is that you word you posts more appropriately, like "I think it's a super famicom clone" instead of "It's a super famicom clone".

Right off the bat, the 72 at the end of the name gave it away.

I was partitally right. Have you ever heard of the Super Comboy? IT's koera's copycat of the superfamicom. What I forgot is there isn't the word BOY on it.

Sorry.

Either then that they look basically the same either then this one missing the word boy.

Ok I got it, you were all right. It`s NOAC, toploader is 72 pin connector but it also has 60 pin connector on the bottom side with cart - contra 16 in 1. Plastic case is pretty good, controllers are even better and the picture quality is also good (best so far). I just had to replace 7805 voltage regulator since it was burned.... Anyway here are some pics:
