Hey, I was just thinking, and it seems like almost everybody out here uses the Jumper Pak when they portabilize thier 64s. Why? Size? Heat? Why does everybody use the Jumper instead of the Memory Expansion Pak?
I was also wonderring if anybody has ever found a way to overclock the 64 in a way to allow varying the speed more than 4 different speeds(1x, 1.5x, 2x, and 3x). For example, with the NES, the speed was dependent on the clock going into pin 29. By changing the oscilator, it would change the speed. Also, why do they say lift the pin, instead of just cutting the copper trace? Are there mid and/or bottom layer traces, or is there some other reason?
If anybody could help me, please do. BTW: I'm using an old black US model.

jumper pack is used because you cant cut the expansion pack down, its to tall unless you find a way to build around it or make it thick. as to overclocking i have no idea
