hacking pocket TVs with only one circuit board

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

hacking pocket TVs with only one circuit board

Post by eagle5953 » Fri Feb 06, 2009 9:34 am

I bought a pocket TV on eBay. Comparing it to Ben's book, I see many of the same components, but the TV has one (main) circuit board. He says that it makes it "easier" to use.

I realize I can't chop decent-sized hunks of the board off and expect it to work, but is there any way to further slim the circuit board down? Is it possible to cut the board in half, fold it on itself, and reconnect the traces?

Am I missing something?

It is probably possible, but difficult. Pictures please!

It can't be done if it is a multilayer board.
