Hey hey hey, guess what!

No, it's not the best salami and turkey sandwich ever made. But it is the SMALLEST N64 portable IN THE WORLD!!1!

And I get the privilege of holding it. :)

Okay, anyway, before finished pics I'm going to briefly tell the rest of the "making of". So here's the front half of the case:
Image

You can see the speakers glued up against the sides. This is the only place they would fit! Seriously! They were too thick when glued to the speaker holes. It made the battery raise up and the case wouldn't close. I also had to take out the auto AV switcher, unfortunately, but if I find a smaller relay I'll put it in. The blue wires running across the PSone board are for the volume buttons at the bottom-left-ish there, the other one is for a trace I accidentally cut.

Here is the battery put in the front half of the case:
Image

Here is the N64 half of the case. On the left with the piece of green gift card are the caps I relocated from the board. The slices of bottle cap are holding the Z and R buttons in.
Image

The two halves before closing:

Closed up!

Sorry for the blurry picture, I'm going to take better ones later. I know what you're thinking, "WHERE''''S THE DPAD!11!" I'm going to put it in, don't worry.

The back with no cart cover yet:
Image
Note the little fan in the corner. 8)

The back cart cover, with the logo painted on:
Image

There's a bit of underspray, but the camera really exaggerates it. It's not nearly that bad.

I'm going to wait for the paint to dry then put on the cart cover, then it off to make some beautiful pics of this thing. 8) Oh, and one more thing:
ShockSlayer wrote:Oh, and I nominate me for smallest. go #6!

From front:

133mm from top to bottom
233mm from side to side
55mm w/o cartridge from front to back
73mm w/ cartridge from front to back
And now for my dimensions:
131mm from top to bottom
191mm from side to side
37mm w/o cart from front to back
45mm from front to back incl. screen

And SS claims he took 22mm off the thickness, so I'll give him that. But now, that makes his volume 1,022,637mm squared and mine 1,010,017! O! WUT NAO, SHOCK SLAY-UH! Muahahahahah! That means that this is the WORLDS SMALLEST N64 PORTABLE! Yay! ^_^

One last note. I need to open this thing up again to fix a few things, any picture requests?

Those front-back measurements better include the screen.
Otherwise you could stick whatever you want on the outside and call it the smallest.

Whoops, forgot to include that. Fixed. It'd not by much, but it's still smallest! :) And thanks for the comment.

How does it compare to SifuFs?
I know his isn't really a portable, but it's still a good benchmark.
Someone make a size comparison with all of the major ones.

Look on ebay, 6000mAh Camcorder Battery.

I don't know how it is compared to Sifuf's, his is much thinner, probably one inch. They're probably about the same from side to side, obviously his is smaller top to bottom. I think it's about the same dimensions as the Sixty-Free Lite, just about 1cm thicker for the battery.

EDIT: Looking at the SFL again, it seems mine is actually a couple cm less wide that his. About the same top to bottom, and about 1cm thicker still.

You should post a video of your n64p in action.

Argh, I hate making videos. >_< But perhaps I will for this.

I've got some really nice pics now! Feast your eyes on these:

Nevermind the mess on the back, it was just laying on the counter and didn't notice it until after I put away the towel, camera, and tripod. :P And of course I still need to put the D-Pad in, but enjoy these for now.

ShockSlayer: Yes, I am very satisfied. I have the smallest N64p in the world! Muahahahah!

I SO can't wait for the next 5-hour car trip. :p

pretty good pics
good to know that SOME people have good cameras.
Also, that is an incredible work of art, as it at least has batteries...
Just one question, but why have the screen on the outside, that just seems to make it more prone to damage.

I've said this several times but I don't expect you to read this entire thread so I will say it again - There is no room inside the case. It really is packed in there!
