I was listening, in between melting sessions.exploding.monkey wrote:Notice how I said a RETRO gaming console laptop section, considering half the BenHeck members are all 9 year olds who just want to make an XBox laptop.
It's few the ones with ideas about a RETRO game console laptop (which one day I might (should) try).
Shhh...Zeturi might be listening...Why in the world would we make a section just for two projects? And they are likely to never be finished, if you look at the mortality rate for these kinds of projects.
Taking a little bit of a break tonight for New Years, so no updates until tomorrow night. Anybody who reads tonight, happy New Year!

Not sure that my opinion would count, really, since I'm new here. Hypothetically, if it did, though, I would say to keep all the NESs together for the sake of simplicity.
I've been eavesdropping since February.
I work a 7-3 shift, that's the only reason I'm taking a break tonight. (Plus it's New Years, everybody's eating and drinking themselves to death, then sleeping till noon the next day.)

You should TOTALLY make a thread asking for the forum opinion.exploding.monkey wrote:Happy New Year!
By the way, seeing as you have been EAVESDROPPING ( ) on our conversation, what's your opinion on our Retro-Gaming-Console-Laptop-Section forum?
You better say the right answer.
EDIT
You're taking a break ALREADY? You've hardly started!
Excellent

why don't you just change your idea to the lapop section.exploding.monkey wrote:Its okay. I was kidding. And it isn't that stupid.
People pitch in good screens to use depending on the size, good TVs that are very slim but have inputs for any console you'd like to use, good ventialation, slimming down trick, ways to make it look liek a real lappy, etc. Like a general forum. That might be useful because all the lappies I see are crappy psone screens folded ontop of a crappy looking portable. The concept is awesome, but the look not so much (Which is very importtant IMO)
Anyways I think the NESA idea is really cool. You should try and get a bigger screen, or keep the screen size the same but make the plastic around the screen bigger for battery compartments...would be nice and slim and you'd have easy access to the batteries.

Actually the case should be a lot easier if you plan well. If you make blueprints first the tech should be very easy to place. And with all the data and portablizers here, you can't say tricky any more unless the person is a complete beginneer. Saying how to shrink it down even further is a good statement.exploding.monkey wrote:Making a console portable is tricky enough, let alone making it look good. The concept is awesome, but the look not so much (Which is very importtant IMO)
