The FC3 Plus is now on the market. I lack the funds to grab one, though.
I'm curious about that light gun especially. It's only compatible with NES light gun games, but it's still interesting that they got it working. So who's going to be the first to make a 3-in-1 portable?

One could always just take the easy way out and have them sticking out the back, perpendicular to the unit itself. If they're in the middle, just make the unit wide enough to have some room on the sides of the carts.

I'm going to guess NES. It says NES everywhere on it, and the cart slot is nearly the same exact size as the SNES slot. Not only that, but nowhere did I see the word "Famicon" or the abbreviation "FC".
All in all though, they are one and the same thing when it comes down to it, with one difference- the cart connector. Seeing as how there is a bigger market for a 72 pin NES/Famicon than a 60 pin version, I'll leave it up to you which one a company would make and market.

All great and dandy with a three in one system, but it hardly makes for a handheld portable due to the cart slots. You either end up with a fat system, or right angled carts at the back; however if the system works with far more accuracy than previous systems it is worth investigating. As per usual, we in the UK are left out as the market for NTSC is far bigger than that for PAL, so we are lucky if PAL is included in an NTSC system (eg Retro Duo) so we can benefit too.
I know, right?bacteria wrote:All great and dandy with a three in one system, but it hardly makes for a handheld portable due to the cart slots. It's really a shame that america doesn't use the same standards as europe. Oh well, I guess we'll have to live with it.
You mean it's a shame that Europe doesn't use the same standards as America right? Jk, This country sucks.Kyo wrote:It's really a shame that america doesn't use the same standards as europe. Oh well, I guess we'll have to live with it.
