best place to buy polystyrene?(for vac forming)
ok so i figure ill give vac forming a try and was wondering where to get the polystyrene. i know Turbo Tax had a site in his guide but their shipping is outrageous and i dont really need to spend $20, just need the 8 sheets that they offer for $10. cant seem to find anyone that sells it in town.

Their shipping is not ridiculous , The shipping companies are ridiculous. They have shot prices through the roof.newguy101 wrote:ok so i figure ill give vac forming a try and was wondering where to get the polystyrene. i know Turbo Tax had a site in his guide but their shipping is outrageous and i dont really need to spend $20, just need the 8 sheets that they offer for $10. cant seem to find anyone that sells it in town.

I have a bunch of 0.060" styrene. It might be a little thin for most people, but it works well with extensive bondo-ing and franken-casing.
I'm in Canada though, so shipping might be a little expensive. I can send you a sheet or two, depending on the size, for like $10-$20 shipped. Take the size of your portable, length times height times height plus 4 inches, then the same for width, and that's about what you need. Better to have too much than too little, and I have a bunch of surplus I'd get rid of for cheap. But shipping...
