But I'll be 29 soon....

I know exactly what you mean, I work 24/7

Free time? HAH! From my post n the "how do you make your money" thread.

I work 40 hours at a casino.
I work off and on at a video game store fixing their broken stock.
Ebay Store
trading here on Ben Heck
Guitar Repair (tho not so much)
Electronics odds n ends repair for people who abuse their ipods.
property management for the folks for beer, money, and credit.
Metal band for free beer.
selling for a buddy who had all sorts of random crap.

plus what ever I can do to finance the above causes and the occasional odd job. Now figure all of that with a wife, kid, sleep, and the business meetings I have since I am trying to open up my own business....

Absolutely. This is a geeks console-modding paradise after all, not a chatroom. Age therefore doesn't matter; actually the opposite; because older = more disposable income to buy things with!

I work about 48 hours over a 10 day cycle; spread over a 24 hour rota system (including working nights). This means that I have some days off in the cycle and some mornings off, which I can use for project working. Works well for lifestyle, and money is good.

True, but when you can't get to a particular PM or trade immediately and they start whining that you didn't respond, it like, "Jeez, I have other things to do beside talk on the computer..."

I was on this one board, no mentioning any names, but their conversation was a little immature. I did a quick "Age Check!" on their chat and got 13 to 17. Wow.

hey just cos were young doesnt mean we cant relate

im only 18, but i go to uni and work two jobs to pay the tuition fee's which dont pay themselves after all

Working 7pm til 10.30pm, then from 12 till 5 am then getting up at 10 for lectures isnt fun, but luckily not all my days are like that, mostly its just 6pm to 3am shifts in one go.

But im quitting one of my jobs this week, the uni work is starting to pile in and it'll all be kinda pointless unless i gave it proper attention.

I wish they'd raise minimum wage

I don't like text-speak either, but equally don't like grammar Nazi's as they are pretentious. You know what they say about living in glass houses, not throwing bricks, grossaffe? There were at least two grammatical errors in your comment, when you commented on someone else's grammar. Come on, ditch the grammar Nazi stuff; the act of communication is to project what you want to say to others in the way it was intended: so as long as the message is projected correctly, then that is fine. What isn't acceptable is the babble you tend to get with text-speak that means the words aren't real words, and are thrown together in a fashion that doesn't make a sentence, let alone sense: that, we can do without!

I don't mind improper grammar as long as it appears they're trying to sound like a normal person.

Oh, and I forgot to ad in a smiley to my previous post after correcting him on his spelling of the word "grammar".

as for my grammatical errors, was the first one a sentence fragment and the other one a lack of a period?
