when I was born. Which means today is also.....

MAH BIRTHDAY!!!!!1!!!!!11

I have turned 18 today. Now I'm officially a adult. Now I can get pay pal. And other get stuff. And do stuff that has been out of my reach that I wanted to do. (That sure as heck does not include smoking. Let it be know that I will never smoke.)

Kinda weird though that know that now I'm officially a Adult now. And to be honest. In one way, I wanted to be 18. And in another, I didn't want to be 18.

Yeah even when you want to be 18 there is a little bit of dread in becoming an adult.

Happy Birthday!

You'll soon find out that you're not an adult until either you move out or you can drink.

Yup, legally an adult at eighteen, but that is different to being like an adult and also being self-supporting and no longer needing your parents. I got my first full-time job when I was just over eighteen and a half, moved out and got my first home when twenty-one: my own mortgage and money, no financial help; self-sufficient: and been so ever since.

Also in some parts of the US. Michigan age of consent is 16.

Actually, the human brain wont fully mature until you're 24-28. So...If its maturity as weaponepsilon pointed out, then that is when you are an adult.

Happy birthday. Welcome to 18-year-old-ism. The age where you want to be an adult and nobody will let you. My suggestion: Enjoy the few years you have left (18 to 21+) building up a way to live on your own. Then tell everybody to screw themselves. j/k :P. Then you'll be an adult.
Please keep an eye on my HBN64 progress.

I wasn't referring specifically to the physical part. Emotional and mental stability is also a big part of it too. I have an older brother in his mid 30s and he loves the fact that I got him a vintage Asteroids arcade cabinet in his garage. Parked next his Harley, vintage chevy custom, expensive tool set....Man he gets all the toys....

I prefer the atmosphere of drinking in a park than a pub...

drinking in a park means there is just something different about it, as if it isn't meant to be done when in a pub it just feels standard :P oh and dont forget the girls in the park haha.

I know what you mean, you can run, shout, throw things, theres stuff to climb on and no one chucks you out if you fall asleep in a bush. But not in winter, im not a fan of frezzing my balls off

I was not talking about brain maturity. at 18 you can vote. that's nice, but not life-changing. you can smoke... well that's not exactly something I'm ecstatic about. you can buy porn... but there's so much free stuff out there on the internet anyways. really, 18 is nothing unless you move out and go it on your own.
