Re: Dkap01 (David Kaplish) is a scammer!
I was just curious if anybody here has been in touch with David Kaplish (dkap01) since he started scamming people.Bibliophile wrote:Dkap01 (David Kaplish) is a scammer!
I bought from him a homemade portable Neo Geo MVS. The cost on it was $405, plus $25 shipping. I sent him paypal payment for $430 on 12/23/07. He emailed me and said he would ship it on 1/2/08. He never did. When I sent him followup emails, he never responded.
On 1/26/08, I filed a paypal dispute, and escalated it to a claim. He never responded to either the dispute or the claim.
On 2/6/08, because he never responded, Paypal resolved the dispute in my favor. However, they only refunded me $200 because that is the limit they cover. They sent me the following response:
I only got $200 back, and dkap01 still owes me $230, which I now have to file a credit card dispute with my credit card to get credit back for the remainder.Paypal wrote: After careful review, this claim has been decided in your favor and

USD has been credited to your account.
This is the maximum amount covered by PayPal. If your claim was for
more
than the amount recovered, the outstanding balance is due from the

Also, his ebay ID is dkap01.
After he scammed me, I found out he scammed someone else the same way. More information on his scams can be found here:

I have to give Neild0 a NEGATIVE feedback. I paid him a month ago and he never sent me my games.
I filed a paypal claim against him, hopefully I can get my money back.

paypal claim wrote:I paid Neil $25 for 2 games + shipping on August 16, 2008. We had both agreed on the payment amount. The last time I heard from him was on August 15, 2008 when he sent me a message that said, "neild0@msn.com is my e-mail address. I SHOULD have it shipped out by Tuesday." Four Tuesdays came and went and I still do not have the games. I have sent him a total of four messages and email asking him when he is going to ship my games. None of which he has replied to.

NewGuy101-Fast shipping, Didn't rip me off, have me overpay, got just what I expected, and he did a custom mod for me on top of an old mod for barley nothing
Also was expertly wrapped-Peanuts, and bubblewrap: Took me 12 minutes to unpack 4 things and even a charger was packed like it was glass
Recommend highly
And StuntPenguin007-Still nothing.

I know I'm not a mod, nor did my awesome idea for a trader points system take off...But shouldn't someone lock his (Neildo's) thread until we know whats going on with him? Noobs are coming in and thinking hes active and replying bringing his thread back up to the top which causes anyone else to mistake his thread for a legit one...
Just saying...
