Anyone seen these? There's quite a few on ebay. They look preatty well designed (except for button placement). They natively take nes carts too. Anyone bought one?

I've had one for a while, now. Really not impressed with it, though. The compatibility's pretty good, and I'm not thrown too much by the swapped a/b buttons. The build quality is extremely poor, though. Battery life is low, and there's no allowance for an external power supply. I've broken and fixed it five or six times, at least. It just feels cheap as crap, and I'm still afraid I'm going to break it trying to get the cart out.

Do you know what kind of screen input it uses? It it a "TV" type AV in screen, or is it all digital? If it's all digital like a GBA screen and the like, than it's only good for itself, but if it can be used with any NOAC, it could be a good source of cheap screens, at the very least.

The LCD's all integrated into it. It's attached by a ribbon cable to the main mobo. I suppose, in theory, you could find the bits of the mobo that the screen is using and discard the rest, but I wouldn't bother, personally.

A former member here is a friend of mine, and she did a quick review and is working on a compatibility list. I'll have to see if I can repost it here.

If it's digital, that means you don't need to deal with this analog LCD trash - finally, one pixel on the nes is equivelant to one pixel on the screen, and no terrbile composite to ruin your colors. Just take it apart and put it in a new case, and give it new buttons.
