Laptopkingz scammers using Ben's portable laptop pics
Hahahahaha,
This video had me rolling:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll9YZ9r39os
Website:
www.laptopkingz.com
All the little lambs (commentators) lining up for the slaughter: ("ZOMG I want a laptop, where can I send my hard earned money and gaming systems off to, in good faith you'll turn my system into a portable!?")
Sad, isn't it? I wonder what Ben would have to say...

They're using Ben's pictures on their website without credit.
http://www.youtube.com/user/GamingLaptops

Also, their fine print is good for a laugh:
And of course they used their real information when setting up the website, which is easily attainable by anyone with Internet access through DomainTools.
ATTN Ben: Crack down on these guys! They're PASSING OFF PICTURES OF YOUR HARD WORK AS THEIR OWN! It's NOT press-related, they're USING YOUR WORK FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT. As far as I know, that's not Fair Use.
Hmm... No demonstration of technical knowledge, either. (Look at the garbage web design full of AIMspeak and misspellings.)
Wide open message board, too. They really don't know what they're doing...
EDIT
I'm pretty sure Ben put the Illustrator files up somewhere for anyone to use, so they could theoretically build their own clones. (The 360 and Wii laptop files are on Engadget; I can't find the PS3 files.)
The point is, they haven't shown that they're capable of doing so, and have used existing pictures in a way that looks like it's their handiwork.

Flippin' hypocrites.Blake L. Carter and his consultants are the sole owner, founder, and website editor of LaptopKingz. Any use of this name or label without the consent of Blake L. Carter will result in a lawsuit and the violaters will be persecuted to the full extent of the law.

*pulls out bag of popcorn* When do the fireworks start?
I found this on their forum board:
@bicostp: Would you mind stickying this thread?anonymous wrote: Hey Blake Carter, of Winston Salem, NC, I hope, for your sake, you aren't lying about making these portables. Apparently Benjamin Heckendorn has been notified of your little operation, and we all already know that the photos you're using on your site are Ben's. In fact, you may want to take a look at the conversation brewing over at his official forums:
http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?p=300078#300078
Since I don't have any hard evidence, I can't go out and say you're lying. But there's a ton of evidence suggesting the ladder. So for your sake? If you've taken in anyone's gaming systems or money, you'd best find some way of making good on your claims, or start refunding money.
Just because you're on the internet doesn't mean you're invisible; you're far from it.

It's pretty said that he is trying to rip people off by showing people Ben's completed projects. They need to get a life. Ben, I hope you do something about this.

Ben will deal with this however he feels like and we should leave it to him. Until They start passing off our own work we should just warn people.
