Stop WoW2. This guy went about it in a professional manner, 28,000 signatures so far. Hopefully they'll listen if enough people voice their opinion. No developer will go ahead with something if 50% or more of their customers strongly disagree with something they could easily change.
Worth a shot, no? Spread the word.

The game was announced a week ago for Pete's sake! I can't believe that so many people are already whining about it. Give it time and wait for more stuff to be revealed, we've seen one gameplay video and people are making judgments about the entire game. Absolutely ridiculous...
Personally, I thought the art style looked sufficiently dark and gothic. It definitely didn't look like WoW.

DII came out in 2000 and the expansion in 2001. THey were isometric sprite-based graphics, and if you go back and look at them now they really aren't that detailed or anything. It's still an awesome games to play (my friend and I have been going through it again recently) but the move to 3D is going to have a lot of changes where they simply couldn't do things they wanted to before. And now we have the current look, and it's different, but not necessarily bad.Negative_Creep wrote:How old is Diablo 2 =/ The game isn't going to look exactly like D2.

I disagree. The dungeons look like they had a maid keeping them nice and clean. And they're lit clearly, just with blue and green lights. Some prime examples of how they look (WoW) and how they should look:

Note the lighting

A RAINBOW? The lord of destruction, the lord of hatred, and the lord of terror...and a rainbow?

Note the lighting, again. Also note how the blue and green makes it look new and clean. The black makes it look dirty, like a dungeon really should be.

Like he says...WoW gayness. Oh look, the maid just swept up, too!!!

Wow, All of this fuss over the fact that this game hasn't got it's proper lighting and shading. What a bunch of short minded people.Kurt_ wrote:I disagree. The dark, evil feel is half of what defines diablo as diablo. It's not world of warcraft 2.
It IS a big deal.
Imagine silent hill if they removed the fog and replaced it (with rainbows).
Imagine mario 64 without the vibrant colours.
Colour is a VERY important aspect of all games. So is music. A game without appropriate colour and with crappy music, regardless of gameplay, is a boring game.

Hey, sup?
You know what? SHUT UP!
Diablo has this nice clean look about and so what? Guess what people the game isn't finished if you want the skulls and bones piles over the floors I'm sure they'll do that. And I'm sure they'll work on giving it a darker feel to the levels.
But like BlackSix said, it's not done, it's just a press release of what's current. This game could change a lot in looks in the next few months. But to piss, moan and whine about it because you don't like it now?
If you don't like how it looks, then don't play it!

There's no fun in that anymore, they all got finished with complaining about the leaves and flowers growing last week.
