I do not have the know how.. or a steady enough hand to soder this but I would love to see a Wii-mote modded to fit in an old school N.E.S. Zapper!! It would be great for FPS games and ANY thing would be better that all those "gun attachments" that are on the market and would add some retro cred to the Wii..... any thoughts or any one feel up to the challenge?? brainstorming welcome

It'd be good for fps games, but that's all. Imagine swinging around a NES Zapper when you're playing Wii sports.

How many fps games are on the Wii anyway?

Actually the newer versions of the Nyko Perfect Shot is pretty awesome for shooting games.

FarCry has that, more or less. You can walk up to someone and move the Wiimote like you're pistol whipping them and you hit them over the head with a machete! One of the few redeeming values of that game, unfortunately. Make sure that you have the strap on, or the locking bar on the gun down, or Wiimote is very likely to go flying with great speed. The only time my entertainment center was in threat of damage by the Wiimote was me playing Farcry with one of those poor gun attachments with no lock bar, I ended up using a rubberband until I got the Perfect Shot.
