Chrono Trigger on PS3

Post by palmertech » Sat Mar 29, 2008 1:11 pm

Hey all. I have gotten into legal trouble with Square in the past over Chrono Trigger (A few of you know what i am talking about), but have maintained "off the record" relationships with a few employees. None of them are in important positions, but one who has generally been trustworthy in the past claims that a commitee has been formed to seriously consider a new entry to the Chrono franchise. I know, "consider"
not
"announced", but still: How many of you would buy a ps3 just for a new chrono game? I begged him for more details, but he doesn't know much. He is only a marketing guy, so not much info coming into his department. I must know the truth... Looks like a job for a job for someone without a legal contract with Square...Ben, you still have some rice and dusty ataris? :D

First off: I can neither confirm or deny that statement. And there was not a "guy", there were "guys". Now...Did you guess who i am? Or did someone tell you? Not that i necessarily am him...I mean really, that guy is a GENIUS. :D

Okay, I don't know if you are part of that team or not... seems like you probably are (were), if so, you're AWESOME. I had really wished that project would keep going. I was SO ticked off at Square for that cease and desist order...
Anyway, I don't have a PS3 now, but if I had the money, then yes, I would buy a PS3 just for this. Though, I really wish you could release it for PC first and then maybe port it to PS3 if you want. :?

Let me make something clear: I cannot say anything here. If anyone PMs me with the title "NDA acceped", then you might get some info. You release anything, you die. Also, no info to people with less than 100 posts. Sorry. Of course, none of this means i worked on CR. Really.

I'd buy it for the wii, but not any other console I don't own (xbox 360, PS3)

does this mean resurrection? that project was awesome :(

If it came out on the wii, I would most definitely buy it. If it came out on the PS3 I may buy a PS3 just for it but only if I could find one relatively cheap.

probably would buy it for the 360 too
