I'm two Merit Badges away from getting......

Post by nightwheel » Thu Feb 28, 2008 10:07 pm

the highest boy scout rank "Eagle". Which i should of already had Year and a half ago. :? But I procrastanated and and it's taking me that long to do two Merirt Badges, Family Life and Personal Management. I've finely kicking it into gear and getting them done. These two Merit Badges are all mostly paper work. But anyways, I should have these Merit Badges done by saturday. Then the Paper Work for getting Eagle shall begin :D

But anyways, Anyone else here procrastant pn something that should of been done long ago?

I procrastinated long enough that by the time I was able to work on merit badges again, I'd lost interest. I did get Life, though

My older brother and I are Eagle Scouts and my younger brother is just about to get his too. I did my project, waited a year, and then finished up a couple of merit badges a few weeks before my 18th birthday.

I'm a Star right now, but I've pretty much given up. I can't really remember what merit badges I had, and there were many that I did, but never got signed off.

I was a cub scout until fifth grade, at which point I quit because it just wasn't any fun anymore. Also the association is homophobic, but that's a completely different conversation.

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

You might still have enough time to get Eagle. If you get your butt into gear really quickly.

I was always slow at ranking up. I'm a star scout and I turn 18 in 2 months so I gave up. Oh well, I've had lots of fun scouting so I'm not a complete failure

Camping was what it was all about for me.

Let's see... I've been backpacking for 2 weeks in New Mexico (Philmont FTW), canoeing down the Buffalo River in Arkansas for ten days and traveled 86 miles (slept on the shores of the river at night), spent a week (twice - two summers) in the Rockies (Packard High Adventure Base) where we summited a mountain and went whitewater rafting, spent a week in the Florida Keys (Sea Base), and have camped all over the Midwest :D

If you were a Scout and never went camping, you missed out!

Okay, sorry for stealing your thread...

you didn't steal the thread. This thread is basicly about boy scouting and and taking to mush time on something that should of been done sooner.

And as for what i have done in scouts:

Our troop goes to Grime Canoe Base which is in the Middle Tennessee Council every year.

We go to summer camp at Roy C. Manchester almost every year which is in my home Council of Shawnee Trails Council.

Our Troop went to Washington DC as a summer camp trip in 2005. While there we went to the smithsonain, Congress, and the White House. We also rode the metro while me were there. And we're planning to go back the again this year :D .

The first year I was in the troop I'm in. We did a trip across Kentucky as a summer camp.

We've been indoor rock climbing.

I'm also part of the OA. White Horse Lodge 201 to be exact.

By the way, any of you OA members? Maybe we could trade patches? :D
Or going to Conclave at Camp Mack Morris in Camden, TN in April? :D
