Colour tracking

Post by Edutainment »

I've been toying around with webcam input in Flash for a couple days, and I want to know how to track a colour. I saw something like getColorBoundsRect or threshold but I don't know exactly how to use these. I'm thinking getColorBoundsRect would work for my needs (even though it's not as accurate). How would I use this to detect a tennis ball for example? Do you think there's a better more accurate way?

This is all I've done with motion detection so far: http://jorzan.freehostia.com/cam.html

Being the sadistic bastard I am, I have covered Frog's left eye with a Santa hat.
