PSone LCD composite in problem

PSone LCD composite in problem

I desoldered the PSone av jacks, and wired video and audio to where the PSone jack was, and then wired those wires to a 9-pin connector.

The problem is I tried hooking up my NOAC to it and the sound works but there is no video :? I used the AV input jack on the screen and the video worked.

I tryed testing for continuity to find where the video spot went on the LCD, and I couldn't find it. The meter beeped for a second on two different pins but it never reached 0 on either pin.

I suppose I could just wire to pin 1 on the second slot to get video in, but I really wonder why this dosn't work....
It's basically just like pluggin into the PSone so I have no idea why it dosn't work.

You should look at the psone lcd pinout that's stickied in this thread. If you did you'd realise that the psone lcd only accepts rgb over the playstation av jack, and only composite over the mini phono jack.

I did read the thread, but I thought that the PSone used composite for the screen, not RGB :oops:
It's odd that they would have a trace for composite video on the AV board when it's not even used :?
I feel so noob-ish...

They have the trace lead to the other playstation av jack so you have composite pass through :)
