GARAGESALES 2008!

Post by nightwheel » Sun Jan 20, 2008 1:43 am

Im Surprised no one started this yet. Anyways....

While far from being a yardsale. I did get some good deal today. (At least for me they were.) I was at a mall today, and I was at EB games. And while I was there. I was going to buy a used gamecube for $30. But they were sold out :( .

Instead, I picked up both Sonic and the Secret Rings (Used) and Excite Truck (used) for around $73.50. Sonic and the Secret Rings being $30 and Excite Truck being $40. Here a pic:

And I also Pre-Ordered Brawl from EB Games while I was there.

Nuff about me. Post up your finds of this year!

That's not much of a good deal... I mean c'mon... Excite Truck? You know that game blows the big one right? No offence... Not to mention its over a year old, and you still payed 40 bucks for it...

Accually Exite Truck got good reviews and is very fun, $40 is completly worth it. So far Exite Truck is the best motion controlled racer on the Wii, NFS:Carbon was wonky with the controls, and I can`t think of any other racers.

Methinks your house needs better insulation...

For all you yankees, it's 12 °F here, and about freezing in the garage.

Triton wins :P Course, I'm in that part of Canada where at the same latitude, there's more America than Canada.

It's about 5 here. That and with the wind chill it feels like it's in the negatives.

As for garage sales go, ours don't usually start until it's like 60~ outside.

oh its a nice toasty 70+ degrees in the house, its the garage (with ZERO insulation at all lol) thats in the 30s-40s and it is still really damn cold out lol, with windchill it got down to about -22 degrees last night, hight today is about 8 like i sad with windchill its more like -5! garagesales round here start popping up late march early april and come on full force in may thru august and start tapering off september and october

fyi i'm about 120 miles north of triton right now and you wouldn't think there is a difference in temperature until you actually feel it. while the snow is almost melted down there, we still have ice covering everything and snow piles and stuff. high temperature yesterday was -1.

can't wait until spring. i wanna see what cedar falls has to offer for garage sales.

I gots 4 Sega games.

Genesis
Lotus II (complete)
EA AIR FORCE F22 Interceptor ATF (complete)
EA`s F-117 Night Storm (complete)

32X
Golf Magazine presents 36 Great holes (complete)

I only got the 32x sport game because it was in near mint condition, and I needed a game to test a 32x if I ever found one cheap.

Everything was $2 a piece.

I got 2 free Genesis game genies, 1 nes game genie, a 32X, a PSX gameshark, a CIB sega CD ram cart, and a super gameboy (that I'm still in the process of getting to work 100%) FOR FREE from my local used game store because he doesn't want to sell that kind of stuff for some reason. I guess its because he's primarily computer repair so he only wants to deal with consoles and games and just not bother with add-ons. The best part is he said if he gets any more stuff he doesn't want to sell, he'll let me know and give it to me :) .

Also, to the first poster, $40 for excite truck isn't exactly what I would call a bargain, I mean, I haven't played it and I know at least some people think its fun, but $40 for a USED 1 year old game is hardly a bargain. It'll probably be NEW for $20 in less than a month.
