Building a SNESp case. Cost estimates and materials.
When the time comes to build the case for my SNESp, what materials should I use to make it? Also, what is the average cost for a SNESp case. I really don't want to spend 90 bucks on a kit, and I was wondering if there is a cheaper way (a lot cheaper).

Wood, metal, plastic and the original case.
The thing with building your own case it that your spending time and be sure you know what your doing otherwise you'll be making it more then once.

What clear box with tab dividers are you talking about? Do you have an example or link so I can see? As for the kit, I don't really want to spend 90$ on a case, but if I have to I will. One more question. If I was to make my own out of plastic, what would I cut it with (handmade), and how do I make it so that the SNES doesn't slide around in the case?HK-47 wrote:Personally Id buy the cnc snes kit. But if you dont want to, you can always use one of those clear boxes with alll the dividers, or do what im doing and buy some wood and make a case out of that. The wood for my case only cost $7 but its gonna look awesome. Its just a matter of preference.

This is what im talking about. You get one of those boxs at a dollar store or home depot.
EDIT: To answer the question - GLUE. Lots and lots of glue. Get a gluegun - best tool ever.

The glue wont interfere w/ any of the wiring, circuits etc will it? (pardon all my questions I am clueless when it comes to stuff like this).

Nope, electricity wont go through glue, so feel free to use tons of it.Insert_Name_Here wrote:HK-47 wrote:http://people.msoe.edu/~zuroskie/hhps/

I'm liking the tackle box idea, that PSone was something else. I'm probably going to use hand-cut acylic sheeting myself, make a 'hand-built SNES' like Ben's, but I'm adding a few things, so it'll be a little bigger, otherwise I'd just buy the kit.
