hand built case

i found a tutorial online for nes or snes(forgot what one). i was wondering how u go about cutting out the hand built case?m like what do u cut it out of and what do u cut with

im pretty sure he uses acrylic (the plastic) and he cuts it with a CNC laser cutter... i dont know if you have access to that or not but if not a water cutter shud do the same

and if you cant do either of these, i suggest a vacuum form table... not too hard to make or use and the results can be pretty good if you know what youre doing
but it looks completely different compared to the design with layers of laser cut plexiglass like ben does... it all depends on what you want it to look like

I'm a nooB still and have ordered the book. But whats wrong with using the kit Ben offers.
Here's my reasoning 1st you make one according to the book and using the kit. Now that you have a tangible, playable example in your hands and have seen how things work, start experimenting with your own designs.
