hey guys, some of you saw my gc mods.

so here is also my psp mods.

I basically moded only 3 parts:

* I made a dual pandora (pandora+ normal battery , all in one)

* usb can now power/charge the phat psp

* added external sma wifi port for external anttenas

well, lets going to start with the dual battery.

you can see a little switch, that switch turn on or off the pandora mode on the battery.

now lets going to see the usb mod (this mod only require a wire)

Image

as you can see the fat psp it is charging only by usb, the normal AC charger is not present.

now, lets going to unplug the battery pack, and run it only by usb

now you can see the psp is powered only by usb, the battery has been removed and there is no ac power connected. (srry if i cant show the back side of the psp and the front side at same time, i´m not have cuarently a fine video recorder camera avalible, anyway you can look at it and check about it is not a fake)

and finally lets going to see the external antena mod, it has been made with an internal ufl- sma cable adaptor.

on this photo i pluged an small pigtail

with a 9 db external omnidirectional antenna

and with my home pringles antenna. (directional)

Doesn't the new antenna connector get in the way while you're playing? It seems to be awfully close to the d-pad.

yes, you are right, anyway I doesn,t feel it so much, the connector pass in the middle of two fingers. I also designed the connector allocation to allow the psp still get into this cover:

Could you give a quick explanation on how to wire it to charge through USB? That'd be great!

That's so Pringles!

(sorry, couldn't resist)

I'd like to see a case mod for one of these thingies. You know, pop it into one of those old Coleco tabletops that look like an arcade cabinet.

this pic is everything you must to know :D (tested on psp PHAT (1000))

this mod is basically is a wire wich connect the 5v from usb to the charger internal pins allowing use the usb as a charger.

Image

in case you have a slim or a 3000, you can wire it directly to the MOBO pin + wich connect to the charger.

if I remember correctly, I think it is the + (positive 5v) pin
