Well its been 6 years (doesn't seem that long) and I thought that on the benheck forums we all should pay our respects as well. So please just post either a blank post or a small message (no arguments or anything political or hateful. Just maybe a family member or friends name if they died or a story about what you were doing that day.)

News article over what happened today at ground zero. LINK

Regards

Today at school they read us a story about two brothers who were firefighters that both died in 9/11. It was pretty sad.
I remember being in middle school and everyone kept getting called out of class, I wasn't sure what was going on I just wanted to leave school to :P
Eventually they wheeled in a TV and we all watched.
It seems strange that's it's already been 6 years.

Its been a long time, I was in 5th grade when it happened, woke up and saw it on the news. Then they talked to us about it at school a little. I think my 6th grade teacher's brother's (or some relative) office was where the Pentagon got hit, he was in some other part of the building at the time it happened, though, so he was ok.

I was surprised they didn't mention it at school today, I'm pretty sure we've had a moment of silence on all the previous anniversaries.

My sister was also quite surprised at that, but I don't personally remember any moment of silences except of the year it happened.

7th grade science (Biology)
Not something I frequently think about, but something I'll never forget.

One of my teachers said, "Today is 9/11!" in a very cheery tone like she was happy about it Image
Some students didn't even know what 9/11 was and why everyone mentioned it.
Meh, I don't post much.

Thats weird, I'm in Canada and our whole school went silent at the time when the first plane crashed. :?

I just remember being in school and all the Teachers were flocking to the Teacher's Lounge to watch the TV. I didn't realized what happened yet until i got home and my Mom told me.

Well my school is a middle school and it's grades 5 to 9. 8)

I was in Grade 3 at the time. I guess because of time zones I found out about before we actually went to school. :P But we still had to go to school. :(

Despite that I live in Canada we've had moment of silences every year since it happened except this year. Weird.

I remember I was in 4 grade then. wow that was a long time ago. they made an announcement about it, and my sister was born the day after, which is ridic. I didnt know it happened until 2:00, when I found out it happened earlier I was really mad that the principle "lied", even though he really didnt, lol. sad stuff.

Maybe they decided that after 5 years its best to just move on, some of the kids in elementary school weren't even born then. Theres gotta be some reason, why else would they all have stopped after the same amount of time?

I was in the fourth grade when it happened. That day has changed my life forever, in all seriousness.

Wow, I had one today at school.

Oh, and middle school did include 5th grade at my school until 7 years ago.
