First time porting a hack here. It's a guitar from a thrift store hacked with USB game controller guts to be used with the PC guitar hero clone Frets on Fire. What do you guys think?
It is called a NESp. Just say pNES, you'll know why it is NESp. --vskid

Old? I just finished it this morning. If you mean the idea, well geez, I still see people making portable NES systems. it still can be cool to see a new way of doing something.

Oh sorry didn't look. I thought it was a link to the guy that made that guitar hero elmo guitar. Looks pretty sweet. Once more sorry.

It isn't as long as a real one, but it is about an inch and a half think, so it is easy to hold. And the neck buttons are about the same size as the real one, just a bit closer together. It actually feels pretty good, but I do need to do a bit more work on the flipper. My younger brother is a good bit better at FoF than I am, and it is bugging him that there is so much play and not much contact feedback.

No problem, these guitars are pretty common, So go figure someone else has done something similar.

Excellent! I would have so much fun ripping it up to a metal song with an elmo guitar! Where did you get that thing?

heh, I believe I have one of these elmo things sitting in my basement, and a beat up guitar controller (for PS2) with a broken whammy bar in my room. I should do this but leave just 4 buttons so I have an excuse to play non orange songs

No, Elmo needs to learn to scream Lamb of God style and play guitar like Dimebag Darrell. Seriously though awesome mod.
Meh, I don't post much.
